Its 3" pipe diameter increases the airflow compared to the restrictive OEM pipe. The increase in airflow means the engine can work faster as the pipe isn't backed up as much, resulting in more power from the engine.

The increase in airflow means the exhaust will sound louder and sportier. Compared to the decat pipe, this exhaust is slightly toned down due to it still having a catalyst. However, the decat pipe won't pass an MOT and if you are pulled over by the police you could receive a fine, whereas you won't with the Sports Cat.
